About.
Hi, I'm Dan Fallak, and I am the founder of Versatile Brands Inc.
In the past 12 years I've built and launched many brands by relying on my sharp eye for market trends, an understanding of consumer behaviour and my instincts that tell me what kinds of things people want to purchase.
VBI is my launching pad for the products and brands that I develop and believe have a place in the market. While we continue to build the brands currently launched, we're also constantly working to discover and develop more things that people will want.
To date, we're proud to have sold hundreds of thousands of products direct to customers online, in person and via our wholesale partners. VBI products have graced shelves in over 1,000 retail doors across North America, including major retail chains like Urban Outfitters, Saks 5th Ave, Indigo, Marshalls & TJ Maxx.Brands.
Our in-house brands range from tabletop, to bar accessory, to novelty, to wall art.
Projects.
We collaborated with the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation to develop unique gift items by licensing their historic Hockey Night In Canada brand properties.
The Official Hockey Night In Canada Puck Bottle Opener and Hockey Night In Canada Puck Coasters are available now all across Canada on the shelves of our exclusive retail partner Indigo Books and Music Inc.
Consulting.
We offer wholesale focused consulting services for DTC brands looking to expand their retail footprint and maintain a balanced omnichannel approach.
In the past we ran the wholesale growth team at Homesick Candles. In a short period of time, we secured new retail placements for Homesick with key retailers; which included buys from Urban Outfitters, Anthropologie, Nordstrom, Paper Source, Neighborhood Goods, and L.L. Bean.
We also spearheaded the streamlining of their SMB wholesale operations by partnering with the team at Faire wholesale to make Homesick one of their very first enterprise level suppliers.
Reach.
We have inroads with the buying teams for many major retail vendors.
We also have relationships with a variety of key rep groups, wholesale platforms, and retail placement associates.

Versatile Brands is a boutique sized holding company that builds and launches various consumer product lines and distributes them primarily through wholesale/retail relationships and via direct to consumer. Our main focus is currently on Versatile Coasters and AdultingFTW
Job Summary
As Brand Co-Pilot at Versatile Brands, you’ll support our growth goals through research, ideation and execution in developing innovative solutions based on insights. You’ll work in tandem as the primary support staff for the founder and CEO of Versatile Brands and be responsible for day-to-day operations. The position requires a highly organized and driven self starter with the ability to take initiative and work independently without much direction. Your main goals as Brand Co-Pilot will be in helping to guide our portfolio of product lines towards new sales opportunities, to strengthen awareness, and drive revenue growth. You are passionate about entrepreneurship, shopping local, retail, e-commerce, social media, and small businesses. The ideal candidate has a history of working for or running their own product based business.
Responsibilities
- Help in the organization of digital files, cloud file structure
- Receiving orders and compiling print lists for fulfilment
- Monitoring and managing customer service inbox
- Execute various projects at the direction of company founder
- Develop a clear understanding of our brands, their operations, and objectives
- Develop a content and marketing calendar for B2B and B2C campaigns
- Plan and lead outreach efforts to drive sales growth for current and new clients
- Assist in minor website maintenance and updates
- Contribute to brand awareness through content and social media
Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
- Experience working with consumer products (product maker, gift shop operator etc.)
- Polished organizational skills, and digital file management
- Ability to communicate extremely well via email with clients
- Excellent time management skills and takes initiative
- Understanding of the consumer product goods landscape and shop local movement
- Experience and understanding of social media platforms and content creation
- Strength in lead generation and sales growth tactics
Preferred Skills
- Working knowledge of the Shopify platform
- Working knowledge of graphic design software (Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva)
